Jemma Harrison, a British chef, is doing a short pop-up series at Giacco's, a bar and restaurant in Highbury, N5. She was there last Sunday (2nd), and will be there this Sunday (9th Feb 2025), cooking a very comforting menu with fresh produce and pasta.
I loved the two dishes I tried last weekend - the fried skate (below), and the angolotti del plin (above) - small pinched parcels of pasta with chicken and cabbage.
One trend we've seen emerging recently is the rise of these very short term events - often just a long weekend or even a day - giving the host restaurant more variety in their offering, and letting independent chefs spread their wings by trying new things.
