Yogi's Sri Lankan Kitchen at the Trampoline Cafe in Angel

Yogi's Sri Lankan Kitchen, led by chef Sivakolundu Yogeswaran, is currently serving lunches Wednesdays to Sundays at the Trampoline Café in Camden Passage, near to Angel, N1.  Yogi serves a big thali plate of Sri Lankan curry - pictured - and also traditional hoppers, in the upstairs room of the cafe.

The food is delicious!  Going clockwise from the rice, you get a mushroom curry, daal, chicken curry, beans and potatoes.  It's a really good lunch if you are in the area shopping, but also well worth making a special trip for.

The Trampoline Café is a café committed to supporting small producers & refugees on their upward journey, and obviously these are great people to support.

When - Wednesdays to Sundays - 12 noon - 3pm

Where - The Trampoline Café, 27 Camden Passage, N1 8EA

Richard Foster, formerly the executive chef of Chiltern Firehouse, is currently cooking Weds-Fri evenings at Forest Wines, the wine shop and bar in E17.

It's a fantastic pop-up, with excellent food in a really memorable space.  Richard cooks behind the counter of the shop, using a hot box and a built-in cooker, and is able to cook for the 16 or so guests this way with aplomb.

He has been doing these nights since November, cooking on a small charcoal grill within the wine store, and turning out the most amazing steaks, langoustines and more.  It’s literally the sort of thing that I started LondonPopUps to write about back in 2011, and it’s great to see such quality dining in the relatively unlikely setting of a wine shop in E17.When - Wednesday to Friday evenings til 2nd February 2024

When - Weds-Fri evenings until the start of Feb 2024 - Sittings at 6pm and 8pm

Where - Forest Wines, 149 Forest Rd, London E17 6HE

Booking - £15 deposit per head from Forest Wines here
