From The Ashes BBQ's 2 Month Pop-up at Kerb Counter off Old Street

KERB Counter is a new cafe, bar & diner from KERB, the street food collective, now open in Bath Place, off Old Street, EC2A.  (It is essentially on Rivington Street, oppostite Butchies' fried chicken restaurant).  One of the main features of KERB Counter is their Test Kitchen, where they will be having different guest chefs every two months, with the excellent From The Ashes BBQ in situ until 2nd April 2022.

From The Ashes started as a BBQ joint in Hackney Wick, East London, during lockdown, founded by chefs Curtis Bell and Martin Anderson.  They have now expanded into KERB's Seven Dials market and now KERB Counter, while keeping the original site open.

At KERB Counter they are offering tacos, slow-cooked meats and more.  I was #invited to try the menu a couple of weeks ago, and was totally blown away; amazing tacos, with the star of the show being their short rib barbacoa, beef so tender that it just falls off the bone (& makes for a deliciously messy dining experience).  I can heartily endorse the food, the space, and the cocktails!

From The Ashes BBQ is only in the Test Kitchen until 2nd April 2022 - hurry if you want to catch this amazing experience!
