Eatern Bloc has taken over the kitchen at The King & Co in Clapham, serving their menu of Eastern European dishes (& pub classics) at the pub from Mondays to Saturdays til the end of February 2020. Given that it's Veganuary, they will also be serving lots of plant-based dishes, including shawarmas and snacks. Great pub food!
"Eastern Bloc was born in the winter of 2015, with an impromptu BBQ for the opening of a cocktail bar in an industrial estate in the heart of Peckham. Alex, its founder, is from Romania but adopted by the wild oasis that is South London. Her aim is to adapt, modernise and put a Peckham stamp on traditional Eastern European recipes and beyond. A bastard child of many culinary influences, Eastern Bloc aims to take you on a wild ride from Peckham to Romania via Turkey and the Middle East, focusing on underdog ingredients & non traditional methods. This winter’s residency at King & Co focuses on hearty, healthy & mostly vegan shawarmas and snacks."

Saturday: 12.00–16.00, 17.00-22.00
Sunday: 12.00–20.00 - Sunday Roast - not Eastern Bloc
