.fodder, a pop-up from Michael Thompson, Jenny Novitzy and Louise Stapley, has been on hiatus for a few months, but is making a big return with a new six month residency at The Shrub & Shutter bar in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton. Serving from Wednesday to Saturday evenings until the end of March 2019, fodder specialises in locally sourced seasonal produce, and will have a mix of snacks, sharing plates, showcasing their creativity and craft. Go!
"It's been quite some time since we announced one of these, but we're excited to tell you all that we're taking over the kitchen at the Shrub and Shutter for a six-month residency starting Wednesday 9th October.
Opened in September 2014 (happy birthday, guys!) by cocktail consultants Chris Edwards and Dave Tregenza, the Shrub and Shutter is one of Brixton's hidden gems, nestled behind the market on Coldharbour Lane. With a bar in the front and cosy restaurant in the back, it serves up innovative cocktails around a hip hop-themed menu laid out like a Spotify playlist, and hosts a rotating roster of kitchen residencies to feed its drinkers.
They stand for everything we love: good tunes, good times, and good booze, and we're so excited to bring some good food into the mix too.
To work with the chilled-out vibes of the venue, we'll have an offering of bits, bites and plates all designed for sharing with friends over a few drinks."
