Liu Xiaomian's Chinese Resdency at The Jackalope in Marylebone
Liu Xiaomian is a Chinese street food trader, who has been at The Jackalope since the start of 2019, initially on Wednesdays to Fridays, and now extended to Tuesdays to Fridays, lunch and dinner. The Jackalope is just a few minutes north of Oxford Circus tube, down a small and picturesque mews street. It's only open Mondays to Fridays, as it depends mostly on office workers for custom.
Both Linda and her co-founder are from Chongqing in southwestern China, and quit careers at the end of last year to launch the business, initially in markets, but now 4 days a week in the pub. The food is great, and it seems to be attracting a loyal fanbase from local workers. (But you'll be fed - the pub is pretty big, with seating on two floors)
As is increasingly the trend, there is no formal end date for this one - I'm changing the criteria for what I feature on my site and feeds as a result!
When - Tuesdays - Fridays
12pm-2.30pm
6pm-9pm
Where - The Jackalope, 43 Weymouth Mews, Marylebone, W1G 7EQ
