Fat Tony's Fresh Pasta Pop-up at Bar Termini Centrale in Marylebone


Fat Tony's is a two month pasta pop-up from chef James French at Bar Termini Centrale, the cocktail bar in Duke Street, Marylebone.  Opening Tues to Saturdays from 5th March to end of April, it is a taster for a full restaurant opening in South London later this year.  Go for the pasta - stay for the cocktails!

"Tony Conigliaro’s renowned Italian cocktail and coffee bar, Bar Termini Centrale, will host a two month pop-up residency from Fat Tony’s, a new restaurant specialising in fresh, handmade pasta from exciting young chef James French,  launching on Monday 5th March.
Making its London debut at Marylebone’s Bar Termini Centrale ahead of its permanent South London launch this summer, Fat Tony’s will serve traditional pasta dishes, inspired by James’s travels around Italy and an apprenticeship at the Michelin-starred l’Erba del Re in Modena.  
Popping-up Wednesday - Saturday, midday to 9pm, until the end of April, Fat Tony’s menu will feature Pappardelle with longhorn shin ragu, Tagliarine with clams, samphire, chilli and garlic and Stracchino, ricotta and parmesan torteloni with sage butter, all created using fresh pasta, made by hand on site daily. Starters such Burrata with sea salt and olive oil and Panzanella will also be offered, with the likes of Grilled peaches with amaretto and creme fresh served for dessert. Putting a focus on the start of the week, Mondays will see Fat Tony’s serving up Pici with Cacio e Pepe and Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncino 6pm to 9pm. 
Styled on Italy’s old school railway cafes, traditionally used by weary travellers as a pitstop for a quick coffee or cocktail before continuing on their journey, Bar Termini Centrale is the perfect location for tradition-led Fat Tony’s.
On the collaboration, Tony Conigliaro said, “A shared passion for old-school Italiana and a complementary aesthetic made this partnership a natural fit for us at Termini. James has an excellent understanding and respect for his craft, not to mention a bloody delicious menu, and we’re looking forward to introducing Londoners to Fat Tony’s next month.” 
The Fat Tony’s menu will be complemented by Bar Termini signatures such as the ‘Spritz Termini’ and ‘Terroir’, as well as the full range of Tony’s famous bottle-aged Negronis."
