Wahaca is going big on The Day Of The Dead - in addition to a week-long feasting menu at all of its restaurants, it is holding a 3 day festival at The Vaults under Waterloo (enter via Leake Street) where the tunnels will host live music, DJs, movies, plus lots of Mexican food and Mezcal. Tickets are just £25 - £15 for the Saturday daytime session - it'll be an unforgettable experience.
"Join us for a celebration of Mexican food, music, art and culture over three days in Waterloo’s underground Vaults. Open from 7pm-2am each night on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th November,
Enter the festival’s labyrinth of tunnels that will play host to Hanal Pixan Mayan jungle by Mandinga Arts and then into a re-creation of the Cemetery Panteon General in Oaxaca curated by Murnau Den Linden, Javier Calderon & Katapixia, with performances of poetry and songs where guests will be encouraged to pay their respects to the loved ones they’ve lost. Experience rencarnation with Shotgun Carousel & watch award winning Mexican short films from the Guadalajara Film Festival whilst you sip mezcal at the Mezcal cinema.
Music will be curated by Movimientos, with DJ’s playing late into the night.
