The Italian Dinner is a regular monthly pop-up / supper club, held at the cycling cafe Look Mum No Hands at 125-127 Mare St, London E8. Run by Roberto & Andrea, the first date for 2015 will be Saturday 24th January, with a menu still to be decided. Payment is by a donation of £35 (or more) - full details below.
"We normally serve a four course traditional Italian menu. Starter, pasta, main and dessert served in the funky environment of Look Mum No Hands on Mare st.
We usually start at 7pm with aperitivo where we serve some nibbles and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Dinner starts at 8pm and usually finishes around 10:30 with a glass of limoncello offered to the guests.
We change the menu every month, according to the season/availability of ingredients.
Last menu was carpaccio, pasta al forno, wild boar with crispy cavolo nero and roasted potatoes and deconstructed panettone.
We have been running the popup for a year now and we've had more than 400 guests last year."
