Papi's Pickles & The Moon & Nude's Valentines Night 'Edible Sketch' in SE1


This year Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, and so lots of creative things are happenings.  Papi's Pickles has collaborated with The Moon and Nude to host an evening with a special life drawing class, with two life models, plus some lovely Indian canapes and small plates, all for just £29.  It's in Paradise Yard, Carlisle Lane, SE1 - full details below.


"Do Valentines Day differently this year with 'The Edible Sketch' - South Indian in an old School Chapel. BYOB!
We are delighted to present you with an evening of delicious South Indian + Sri Lankan flavours intertwined with life drawing and music, in the beautiful setting of a re-developed school chapel. This is a night for couples, singles and the nonplussed to try something new, tasty, fun and creative. 
The untutored life drawing is relaxed and friendly, and most importantly for guys and gals of all abilities, no previous experience is necessary. For each session we will have two wonderful and experienced models.
Itinerary
7pm - You will be greeted with your first four canapés on arrival
7.45pm - The life drawing commences
8.30pm - You can enjoy four small plates
9.15pm - Time to get back to the drawing board
9.50pm onwards - Your masterpieces are complete and your final course of small plates will be served. Spend the rest of your evening enjoying the music, ambience, drinks and good crowd.
11pm - We bid you farewell as you go on your way into the rest of the night!
MENU
To start: Papi's Pickles + appalam (wafers made from urad dhal)
Edible chaat bowls - a savoury mix of potatoes and chickpeas nestled in a wafer bowl, drizzled with fresh tamarind, coriander and yoghurt sauces. Served with pomegranate.
Mini paneer and pepper skewers - cubes of light Indian cheese grilled with peppers and served with fresh coriander chutney
Sri Lankan mackerel fish balls served with spicy tomato relish / Smashed potato bonda served with fresh coconut chutney (v)
Chettinand style lamb curry with served with rice cooked with onion and fennel / Coconut milk rice served coconut milk korma (v)
Idiappam (string hoppers) served with Sothi, a traditional Sri Lankan sauteed aubergine and coconut curry
DESSERT 
Gulab jamun, a South Indian doughnut soaked in a light sugar syrup flavoured with rosewater and saffron
Whilst you may BYOB there is also a bar selling a great selection of wines, local beers, teas and coffees"
