For three weeks, from 26th March, Sipsmith will be holding a Martini Bar at Kettner's in Soho from Wednesday - Friday evenings. Go along to try one of 100 different Martinis on offer. It's free to attend, but there will also be special 'sipping sessions' which need to be booked - see link below.
"Sipsmith, in partnership with Kettner’s in Soho, is to open London’s first 100 Martini Bar - offering 100 classic Martini recipes to its guests in the perfect sipping environment. Curated by Sipsmith’s Master Distiller and Martini historian Jared Brown, and delivered by Kettner’s elegant bar team, it will be the first time that 100 timeless variations of the classic Martini will be available to order from one bar, from 26th March 2014.
The Martini has inspired more veneration, variety, and spirited debates than any other cocktail in history and the Sipsmith 100 Martini Bar will be a place of both celebration and edification. Martini aficionados and newcomers alike will discover the history of the cocktail alongside some long forgotten classic serves, whilst reclining in the beautiful surroundings of Kettner’s historic Apartment.
Guests will enter by the discrete entrance on Greek Street; once seated, they will discover their favourite classic Martini from the potential 100 with the help of an interactive menu. Guests will then be invited to sit back as their bartender brings the roving trolley to the table expertly stirring down, shaking or throwing each of their Martinis in front of them.
The Sipsmith 100 Martini Bar will be open for a limited period of three weeks, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 26th March, except Thursday 3rd April, and will close on Saturday 12th April.
Sipping sessions are by reservation only. Each 90 minute session costs £12 per person and includes one Martini, with more delectables available should you wish to try more for £11. Tickets will be available to purchase - see the link below"
