'CAFF' Art Meals at the Sluice Art Fair near Tower Bridge

Eat in a gallery this Saturday or Sunday (19th / 20th Oct) when artists at the Sluice Art Fair take over the kitchen.  Places are limited, so book sooner rather than later...  Full details of the meals here

"CAFF is a project by Crystal Bennes for the 2013 Sluice Art Fair on 19 & 20 October, dubbed "one of the UK's most important art fairs" by the artists information company. Inspired by Gordon Matta-Clark's 1970s NYC artist-run restaurant, FOOD, four artists have been invited to create an artist-run café during the two days of the Fair during Frieze week in October.
Situated in one of the Fair's gallery pitches, artists Freddy Tuppen, Berta de la Rosa, Joshua Bilton and Chloe Rachel McClellan have opted to turn the kitchen inside-out and make visible the act of preparing dishes which will later be served - also by the artists - three times per day. In this way, the preparation of the food becomes as much a performance as the communcal mealtimes.
Visitors to the Fair (free admission) can pre-book for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Each artist has taken responsibility for the design of the space and menu for Saturday or Sunday lunch and dinner services, while the afternoon tea has been designed by Bennes.
Due to the fact that mealtimes are strictly limited to 20 people, advance booking is advised. Should these not sell out in advance, bookings in cash only will be accepted on the day."
