EduDate Dinner with Speakers with Josh & Johnnie in Whitechapel

Regular hosts Josh and Johnnie are back at The Bell in Whitechapel with a new concept - EduDate.  Edudate is an evening of their food, and interesting talks from interesting people.  The concept is to create a night that would be great as a first date, but it's also aimed at anyone who loves good food and interesting company.

"A four course meal accompanied by three fascinating (but short) talks.
Never be lost for conversation again.
Josh+Johnnie will be whipping up four courses of refined, classically British food, while we hear short talks from three fascinating and completely different individuals.
Speakers
Charlie Tuesday
Vegan artist and new-wave taxidermist Charlie Tuesday Gates was born in Dorset, studying  Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts.
Her sculptural work explores the subconscious memories of a very strange and uncanny childhood. Themes of loss, abandonment, mortality and insanity.
Helen Massey
Helen Massey studied at the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music, where she won the Peter Pears Duo and English Song prizes and was chosen as soloist for Sir David Wilcocks’ 80th birthday concerts.
One of Helen’s first operatic roles was as Emmie in Albert Herring, directed by Sir Thomas Allen, and since then her career has taken her far afield, from India to Italy. Roles include Oscar, Un Ballo in Maschera, Flaminia, Il Mondo della Luna, Susanna Le Nozze di Figaro, Sofia, Il Signor Bruschino, and Nannetta, Falstaff.
James Longman
TV Producer extraordinaire, James Longman (Longers for short) has worked on everything from Dirty Sanchez to Alan Carr’s Chatty Man.
Current Development Exec at Princess Production, Longers will offer his unique insight into what really happens off camera – what it was like watching a Scottish Health and Safety Inspector stop a moving bike wheel with his testicles on repeat in an edit suite, for example."

Dates – Thursday 5th September, 8pm

Location – The Bell Pub, 50 Middlesex Street, London E1 7EX

Cost - £40 per head from here
