Gizzi Erskine and Cark Clarke are collaborating for one night only & cooking up fried chicken & doughnuts at Disco Bistro EC4 on Saturday 9th February. There will two sittings - 6.30pm and 9pm - and like last month's Tonk The Disco event this is bound to be a very hot ticket.
"Gizzi's fans will no doubt be aware of her long-term relationship with fried chicken, while Carl's latest run of doughnuts have been breaking hearts left, right and centre. 'Gizzi at the Disco!' is a beautiful union of all things deep fried, the culmination of two top chefs' basest desires.
'Gizzi at the Disco' is a skewed look at chicken and doughnuts. Both Carl and Gizzi are massive junk food fans but they're also big lovers of ingredients. Guests will be taken on a junk food adventure, with fried chicken and fresh doughnuts at the heart. Expect lots of flavours and witty plays on familiar foods, as these two chefs at the top of their game seek to push and refine boundaries in equal measure.
The junk food trend is not over. It's only just beginning.
"Carl and I are both completely ADHD when it come to food. We're always seeking perfection and wanting to push boundaries. I have worked with Carl a few times now and his brain is just brilliant when it comes to developing dishes. His passion and knowledge for British ingredients is encyclopaedic but he's not in any way a food snob. I can't bear food snobs."
- Gizzi Erskine
