The Fashion Of Climate Change Event - Pop Up Shop - from Environmental Justice Foundation on Vimeo.
The Environmental Justice Foundation has opened a pop-up shop in Carnaby Street to raise awareness of the impact of the fashion industry on climate change, and includes the exclusive new Vivienne Westward T-shirt for their No Place Like Home campaign.
"‘Just by EJF’ will be selling exclusive designer organic cotton t-shirts from previous collections by designers such as Katharine Hamnett, Alice Temperly, John Rocha, Christian La Croix and many more. All profits from the sale of the t-shirts go to EJF.
EJF has teamed up with Cool Earth a charity that protects endangered rainforests in partner with indigenous communities to fight climate change. Their hand crafted jewellery made from seeds by indigenous tribes in Northern Peru is for sale alongside their Vivienne Westwood scarf created for Cool Earth. The profits from these items go to protecting over an acre of rainforest in Peru.
We have also teamed up with Kimberly Wyatt, former Pussycat Doll and judge from televisions ‘So you think you can dance’, who has kindly donated designer items from her wardrobe. All proceeds will go to our ‘No place Like Home’ campaign. We have an exclusive Christmas candle hand made by two brothers on the Isle of Skye from natural soya wax; it is scented with Frankincense and Myrrh. The profits from the sale of each candle goes to EJF’s ‘No place Like Home’ campaign."
