Hush, the Mayfiar Brasserie & Bar owned by Jamie Barber and co-owned by Roger “James Bond” Moore and Evgeny Lebedev (owner of the Evening Standard and the Independent), has announced a series of pop-up film screenings, to run into March 2013, complete with gourmet pop-corn, cocktails and a full a-la-carte menu.
"Hush Mayfair is indulging film lovers with another season of classic and retro movie screenings at its exclusive cinematic pop up, Classics in the Courtyard.
Back by popular demand, Hush will be showing a series of timeless Hollywood classics amongst the surroundings of their courtyard cinema, hidden in the historic heart of Mayfair, making it the place to be this winter season.
From 31st October, guests will be able to snuggle under a bespoke Hush blanket while indulging in a Winter Warmer cocktail, gourmet popcorn or the full a la carte menu and enjoy the show on Hush’s state-of-the-art plasma screen.
Classics in the Courtyard will kick off this Halloween season with a showing of the 90’s slasher film, Scream. Other horror classics on the playlist include Carrie, Silence of the Lambs and Rosemary’s Baby.
As the festive period approaches, visitors will be able to cosy up during the Christmas season with feel-good family classics including Love Actually, Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life.
Following New Year festivities, film lovers will be able to trade in the January blues for some laughter with comedies including Anchorman and Four Weddings and a Funeral; while fans of timeless love stories can fall in love in February with screenings of romantic masterpieces: The Bodyguard, Romeo + Juliet and Breakfast at Tiffany’s."
