The Rebel Dining Society in Bethnal Green hosts sumptuous and imaginative dinners. I was lucky enough to get a ticket for one of the Absinthe nights earlier in the year and it was brilliant. They've just announced two new pop-up nights from the chef Tom Sellers to take place at the end of November. Highly recommended!
"Fresh from his world stage at Noma, new kid on the culinary block Tom Sellers is storming into London with his very own pop-up, Foreword on the 28th & 29th of November.
And what a block he’s been around, having worked with the likes of superchefs Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller, Adam Byatt, and, more recently, Rene Redzepi at Noma.
On offer is a five-course experimental extravaganza, featuring avant-garde takes on dishes like bread and dripping for starter; beef cheek, pumpkin seed, brown butter and sorrel for main; and charred pear, parsnip and buttermilk for dessert.
Tickets are priced at £70 per person for five courses and include a cocktail on arrival and wine with dinner."
