On Thursday 26th April Molae is taking over Palm2 in Clapton the the evening for a supper club called Heading South, with a theme of 'heat', combining flavours and tastes from the tropics and the Middle East. £33 gets you a 6 course menu, including Sambal yogurt chicken, and this one is a BYOB!
"This supper club will take you to the heat of the tropics and the middle east with its unexpected yet thoughtful flavour combinations and a relaxed atmosphere.
This menu reflects our culinary interests and backgrounds, our love of hot and sunny lands, spices, and bold flavours.
The venue this time is Palm 2, an amazing shop where you can find Malaysian palm sugar, Italian cured meats, Middle Eastern products and has got a massive kitchen space with big tables and airy windows upstairs, where the pop up is going to take place.
The menu:
Yellow split pea croquettes and plum sauce
Portobello and shiitake mushrooms, chilli labneh, burnt garlic and dukkah
Sambal yogurt chicken
Spiced cod wrapped in banana leaves
Tropical herbs and Pineapple rice salad
Soursop ice cream, passion fruit sauce, sesame tuile, lime and mint."
