Malt + Pepper, the pop-up that cooks with beer, continue their ascent with a 3 month pop-up at Simon The Tanner, a pub on Long Lane, near Borough, and close to the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile. The menu looks great - lots of Malt + Pepper's Dirty Fries (with chilli con carne - meat-free version also available), plus Beer Mac 'n' Cheese, and two new burgers - one vegetarian - for this residency. Be there!
"It feel's a bit like the most exciting part of our adventure so far as we set sail to one of the most talked about parts of London's beer scene, The Bermondsey Beer Mile. Not only that, but we're reinstating hot, delicious (and, of course, beerfied) food to Simon The Tanner, a cracking beer pub on Long Lane.
The abundance of wonderful beer, calls for an abundance of delicious snacks so that's what we're providing. We are open 7 days a week, knocking out lunch specials, dinner specials, and Sunday lunch. We're collaborating with as many of the local brewers as time and space will allow, so expect supper clubs, tasting menus and the weird and whacky."
