Club Gascon's September Pop-up at St Bartholomew-the-Great near Smithfield

Club Gascon, a Michelin-starred French restaurant in the heart of London, is closing temporarily for refurbishment, and during this time it will be popping up in the atmospheric setting or St Bartholomew-the-Great, the oldest church in London.  They will be serving a 4 course set menu called 'Cloister' for £80 per head, with optional wine and tea pairings.  St Bartholomew-the-Great is in Cloth Fair, just a street away from Smithfield Market, and the dinners are running from 13th September to 6th October, generally Tuesdays to Saturdays.

"As part of its temporary closure whilst the restaurant is undergoing refurbishment, Michelin starred Club Gascon is launching a pop-up at the beautiful cloisters of London’s oldest church, St Bartholomew-the-Great.
From 13th September – 6th October, guests can enjoy a 4-course tasting menu – Cloister by Club Gascon – created by Club Gascon’s head chef and founder, Pascal Aussignac. At £80 per guest, the menu includes Club Gascon favourites such as Aromatic King Scallop with Spicy Berries & Frosted Watermelon as well as Peppered Braised Beef Rib with Oceanic Tapioca & Samphire. A vegetarian menu will also be available and guests can pair their experience with a wine flight for an additional £40 as well as a tea pairing for £15.
After almost 20 years of trading, Club Gascon temporarily closed its doors last month to undergo major renovation. Since it opened in 1998, the restaurant has received numerous accolades, including one Michelin star (held since 2002). The pop-up is a teaser to the restaurant reopening this autumn.
St Bartholomew-the-Great was founded in 1123, making it the oldest church in London, and is located next to Club Gascon in Smithfield. It is home to a thriving congregation and is a destination for visitors from all over the world."
