Meats and menus will change based on what is in season. Booking is essential, and it costs £50 per head.
"Petit Pois Bistro, Hoxton’s favourite French Bistro, is launching a monthly meat club - "We Meat on Sundays". The inaugural event will be on Sunday 2 July and will be in celebration of steak.
Every two months the menu will change to reflect the best seasonal meats on offer and also delectable sides that will help elevate the carnivorous feast.
For the first event, Head Chef, Chris Smith has created a delectable menu that celebrates all things bovine. Guests will enjoy four courses priced at £50 with dishes including Porthilly Oyster with Beef dripping panko, Bone Marrow, Ox Heart Croquettes and Beef Short Rib.
The star of the show will be the delicious cuts of steak that have been sourced from The Butchery SE23 which are served with the guests choice of one sauce and one side. Cuts will include Rump, Bavette, Flat Iron, Sirloin and Ribeye with a selection of classic sauces and sides including Béarnaise, Blue Mornay and Frites, Gratin Dauphinoise and Pomme Anna. The meal is rounded off by chef's signature chocolate mousse.
Chris has created this menu to reflect the ethos of the restaurant which is simple food executed to high standards, he says of the menu, “I am a great fan of meat and I wanted to showcase the fantastic cuts and choice we can get in the UK but with our French twist. I also wanted to create a menu that brings together friends and family round the table to enjoy good food and company.”
Chris Madden, General Manager and Sommelier of Petit Pois has created a wine menu that will pair perfectly with chef’s menu and will have an accessible yet delicious range of wines. For the first Sunday guests with enjoy a glass of House Cremant with their amuse bouche and can go on to pick from a selection of carefully thought out wines from Domaine Burle "Est-ce Que?"
