Fresh from the success of his Sakura dinners, Adam Rawson returns to the space below Borough Wines in Essex Road N1, for two weeks of 'Rawmen' (geddit?) Ramen dinners, also inspired by his recent Japanese trip. It runs from Thurs 20th to Sat 29th April, Wednesday to Saturday (7 nights in total) and tickets are just £25 each, which gets you two starters, a choice of ramen, and a dessert. These will sell very quickly...
"Following the sell-out success of his Japanese tasting dinner Sakura, chef Adam Rawson will team up with Borough Wines & Beers again this April for #Rawmen, his new pop-up ramen bar.
Held at the Brewery Below, a private dining space and working brewery underneath Borough Wines’ Essex Road (Islington) shop, #Rawmen will launch on Thursday 20th April and run for two weeks.
Adam Rawson, crowned Chef of the Year at The YBFs 2015, has created a three-course set menu inspired by the many brilliant bowls of ramen that he sampled during his recent travels around Japan.
Guests can enjoy two starters including chicken Karaage with yuzu mayonnaise, followed by a choice of Hakata Ramen (18-hour Pork Bone Broth) or Shoyu Miso Ramen (Soy Miso Broth), both served with preserved beansprouts and pickled mustard green and sesame. The meal will end with the much-loved milk cheesecake from Adam’s Sakura dinner, which features Japanese sansho pepper for surprising and sensational taste experience.
A specially-selected collection of Borough Wines’ drinks will be available to buy on the night, ranging from Sake cocktails to its own Brewery Below brewed beer, and wines served on tap, by the glass or carafe."
