Quilombero is a new pop-up near East India Dock, E14, from Chef Gabriel Pryce and Missy Flynn formerly of Rita's in Hackney, that will be open until Spring 2017. Inspired by the cuisines of Northern Italy and Argentina, it's open from 8am to 4pm on weekdays, and then from 5.30pm to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. Booking is recommended!
"Quilombero is a temporary project by Chef Gabriel Pryce and Missy Flynn formerly of Rita's in Hackney. Taking influence from the cuisine of Northern Italy and it's prevalence in South America, specifically Argentina - Quilombero is a an all day canteen, restaurant-bar and supper club. Breakfast and Lunch are served daily from 8am with Climpsons coffee, fresh juices, freshly made sandwiches and salads, migrating towards a simple, a la carte lunch menu of home made pastas, meat from the grill, seasonal side dishes and fresh fish from nearby Billingsgate Market.
On Friday's and Saturdays Quilombero takes on the form of a fun, casual dinner party with hearty dishes from the wood fired oven, grilled flatbreads, pizzas and tacos served alongside a short cocktail list of spritzes and sours, with a concise, predominantly natural, Italian wine list from our friends at Passione Vino.
Reservations are taken based on two sittings per evening, or for large groups, on a private hire basis.
Gabriel, Missy and the Quilombero team will remain resident at the Republic development in East India Dock until spring 2017."
