Yamagoya is a Japanese ramen pop-up, newly opened at 64 Shaftesbury Avenue, above the Shuang Shuang restaurant. I haven't visited yet, but the menu looks great - their signature bone broth with lots of pork, seaweed, eggs, mushrooms and much more. It's open daily - full times listed on their site and below.
"Our journey began 47 years ago in fukuoka, Japan
Masatoshi Ogata, our founder, was a lorry driver with a dream of opening his own ramen shop.
While driving to many regions, he sampled great ramen from across Japan (often checking ingredients in other ramen shops’ rubbish) to try to come up with his own perfect ramen recipe.
Using scrap wood from a local school, he built his first ramen shop with his bare hands in 1969.
3 years later after putting all his efforts into his dream, his perfect ramen was realised as "Yamagoya ramen”. We proudly present our London pop up.
For a limited run only"
