Exciting news! Scott Hallsworth of Kurobuta, the Japanese restaurant on the King's Road, has opened a new pop-up, Mr Pig, underneath the main restaurant in SW3. This one isn't Japanese - instead it's all about ribs, BBQ octopus, garlic prawns - all food that Scott and his team love to eat. It's open Thursday to Saturday evenings until 17th December, but let's hope it comes back in January.
"Open Thursday to Saturday for dinner throughout December, the delectable menu consists of small plates and sizable sharers. Think warm tacos with soft short rib rendang and coconut crab rendang; BBQ octopus with yuzu juice, olive oil and salsa verde; fried quail with sweet and sour dip; garlic prawns; indulgent crab gratin; foie gras croissant with star anise jus and crispy oysters.
Hipster cocktails, classic concoctions and sake stunners will also be available at the bar.
Tis the season to celebrate! Join the party from 6pm to 10.30pm, take a pew at one of the communal tables and get your rock on at Mr Pig (average spend approx. £25 per person)."
