Chuffed And Stuffed - run by two women called Alessandra, both of Italian origin, is holding its first supper club at the Coffee is my Cup of Tea cafe in Dalston Lane on Wednesday 21st September, as part of Uran Food Fortnight. Expect a seasonal aperitivo followed by a starter, two different freshly home-made pasta dishes and a signature dessert - sounds delicious!
"Chuffed And Stuffed is a new food-based venture bringing art and design to the table. It launches on the 21st September with a Seasonal Pop–Up restaurant to celebrate London's Urban Food Fortnight event.
Run by two Italian women living in Hackney, both called Alessandra, Chuffed and Stuffed offers a seasonal vegetarian menu with an Italian touch. All ingredients are locally sourced in Hackney from various producers from the Food Assembly, Audacious Veg, Growing Communities, The Five Points Brewing Company and many others.
The two Alessandras are food and design enthusiasts that love bringing people together as well as creating bespoke food-related events.
Bringing themes from their home regions of Sicily and Piemonte, their aim is to re-invent recipes from Italian cuisine with local produce, and communicate their passion for design in each plate, table setting and the whole dining experience.
They follow Ruby Tandoh’s philosophy of “Eat what you want and love” and Michael Pollan's rule “Eat food. Not too much. And mostly plants”. They seek to challenge the dogmas around “what is healthy and organic” by creating a delicious, local Italian menu that will satisfy both body and soul.
The event is taking place at Coffee is My Cup of Tea on Dalston Lane from 7:30pm-10:30pm. The evening starts with a seasonal aperitivo followed by a starter, two different freshly home-made pasta dishes and a signature dessert."
