The Herb Lab is a supper club devoted to sharing the medicinal qualities of herbs. On Thursday 21st July 2016 Chef and founder Sepi Ardalani will be putting this into action with a four course set dinner at POND Dalston, with dishes including Grüne Soße - A German green sauce specialty with 7 different herbs and potatoes - and a dessert of Ice Flowers with herb infused sorbets in a sea of wild flowers. It costs just £34, and is sure to be very popular!
"“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food, Hippocrates once said, and so The Herb Lab did. For centuries, herbs have been used to naturally treat physiological and psychological problems and still have untold benefits today.
We'll be indulging in herbal and seasonal goodness – if London weather allows in the nicest yard in east London – at Pond Dalston. In July we'll be interpreting the lesser known German green sauce specialty 'Grüne Soße' in the Herb Lab way. We’ll wow you with utopian salads and will be experimenting with flavours, textures and colors to amaze your eyes and tongues with ingredients that are sourced from small scale local farmers and growers who practice organic or biodynamic farming. We also forage wild foods, flowers and herbs from nearby woodlands and wetlands to create truly local, memorable dishes.
Every supper club is joined by a resident herb curator who joins the diners, alongside the chef and founder, to share their knowledge and enthusiasm about herbs and show ways in which they can be easily integrated into our daily diet."
