The Plot Twist, the Italian-Hungarian pop-up focussing on food and drink, is back with its Budapest Bar on Saturday 28th May at The Shoreditch Arts Club in Leonard Street. Go along to drink the Hungarian beers and wines, try The Piadina Project's food and see the art, or buy tasting tickets for a guided tour through some new Hungarian craft beers. Full details below.
"After the huge success of the first two events, The Plot Twist’s unique pop-up series is back to The Shoreditch Arts Club for the third time. Inspired by the ruin-bars of the Hungarian capital, this special event will boast 2 levels featuring contemporary art and music and selling street food, craft beers, traditional wines, spirits and spritzer. Enjoy the comfy sofas and laid-back atmosphere, watch the retro video projection and play for free at the old-school arcade machine. Here is a brief list what’s going to happen this time:
The Drinks: The Budapest Bar keeps the beer selection rotating to bring more and more exciting flavours to London town - expect 7 new Austrian, Croatian and Hungarian craft beers on the list. Quality Hungarian wines from Villany, Eger and Tokaj will amaze all wine-lovers alongside the traditional Spritzer “Fröccs “ and Italian rose and sparkling wines. Start your afternoon with our fruity Pálinka like a proper Hungarian and finish off the night with a sip of sweet Limoncello.
The Art: Enjoy the exhibition and get your X-Ray portrait painted at the underground workshop all day long by guest artists Nadia Ugobuono and Scott Dessert while Mazuro will look after your entertainment with a chilled DJ set.
The Food: The Piadina Project will make sure that no-one attending leaves the place hungry – serving Italian street food staple piadina, an authentic flatbread from the region of Romagna, topped with such delights as prosciutto crudo, salame di milano, stracchino and fresh rocket. Get your favourite among 10 different types or try the extremely yummy combination of The Hungarian Special – Dried pork sausage, burrata, rocket and onion jam. You can now officially say ciao to pizza!
The Tasting: Brewave will make you taste 6 new beers from Hungary, Austria and Croatia from 4:45PM. Tickets are only available pre-booked on eventbrite."
