The Plot Twist, which has been organising events for 6 months or so, is opening a pop-up Budapest Bar in Shoreditch for one day only - Saturday 23rd April. It's going to be themed around the 80s & 90s, with lots of Hungarian craft beer, plus Hungarian wines, food from Italy (with a Hungarian twist) and DJs. There is also a ticketed craft beer tastings in the evening - full links are below.
"The mighty Plot Twist joined forces with Brewave bros and excited to announce a new experimental pop-up bar concept: The Budapest Bar. London’s first Hungarian pop-up bar is launching on 23 April at The Shoreditch Arts Club. Expect 80s/90s neon-lit Budapest atmosphere on 2 levels accompanied by a magnificent craft beer selection.
Brewave councillor Jenci will hold a ticketed underground tasting session featuring 6 Hungarian craft beers (from breweries like Rothbeer, Monyo, Csupor and Hopfanatic) paired with traditional Hungarian appetisers. Included in the ticket price, a truly Hungarian aperitivo buffet will finish the tasting with the trademark small nibbles of The Plot Twist.
But it’s not just all about booze; Budapest Bar would love to stimulate all your senses. Here is a brief list what’s gonna happen throughout the opening evening:
The Food: Italian street food flatbread Piadina will be served all-night long featuring a Hungarian special meat feast (say ciao to Pizza, this thing is our new favourite).
The Drinks: Quality Hungarian wines from Villany, Eger and Tokaj twisted with Italian Rose and bubbly queens Prosecco and Lambrusco. Fruity Palinka will star this evening alongside unique spirits like Unicum and Magna poppy seed liquor.
The Music: Mazuro will look after the entertainment of your precious ears from 6-11PM at the main bar area.
