Assia's Umbrian supperclub is back at Exmouth Market on Friday 15th April for a night of Italian meatballs, with a short cookery masterclass before you sit down to eat. Assia always brings produce from her home region in Italy for these, and the quality of food and atmosphere is great value at just £35.
"Following the success of the first italian cooking master class and the amazing feedback I have got, here is another chance to catch up on my demonstration 2 with Italian delicious meatballs, specially prepared by someone with an old italian recipe from Italy.
Those who know her know that the choice of “raw” produces is her point of strength. Everything comes from Italy, but above all everything is personally chosen by her; she selects the highest quality products, mainly organic, from small businesses, local farm, craftsmen. Extra virgin olive oil, pecorino cheese, suckling pigs from la Casella, onions from Cannara, organic flour ... are some of the products that you will find in her dishes.
At her dinners is possible to taste dishes from Italian tradition, those of central Italy, from where Assia family comes from. A family where the food, the common one, the everyday one, is strongly prepared with care and becomes almost a daily "ritual".
Those who have already participated in "My Home from Umbria" couldn't have enjoyed more the warm and welcoming atmosphere during dinner.
Here the food becomes not only sensory experience but also knowledge of a different and fascinating culture.
For the next gathering, Assia, with the help of qualified people, will give guests the opportunity to participate visually each time, demonstrations of how to prepare the dough, make pizza, or she will show you how to prepare one of the dishes served in the menu.
All this will happen while tasting a glass of delicious Italian wine, which Assia will be pleased to offer you, as usual, to welcome you to her dinner!"
