On Sunday 6th March the West African supper club Jason's Little Kitchen will be celebrating Ghana's Independence Day (& Mother's Day) at The Chancery Restaurant, in Cursitor St, near to Chancery Lane. £35 gets you the 3 course menu, including the main of Jollof Rice with Grass Fed Chicken, and dessert of roasted pineapple with sorbet. Go!
"Join us as we celebrate Ghana’s 59th independence and also mother’s day.
Treat your mum, grandma, auntie, sister, cousin or anyone who acts as a mother figure to you to a lovely West African meal that’s sure to put a smile on their face, and let them know you are grateful for all the things she does for you.
Also as it is Ghana independence I have chosen to go back to the classic meal of Kelewele for the starters and Jollof Rice and Chicken for the mains.
For dessert we have the beautiful roasted pineapple accompanied by Sorbet to end your meal nicely.
Don’t forget your glass of Patatsfontein Chenin Blanc wine provided by Edgmond Wines – a special white wine which has a faint hint of spice and white peach and will surely go down a treat with your meal for the evening."
