KinoVino, the East London supper club that combines food and film, is back on Saturday 23rd January at Palm2 in E5 with a night of Jewish food with MasterChef 2015 finallist Emma Spitzer. Dishes will include Jewish food classics from latkes to brisket, and the film they are screening is Oma & Bella, a foodie documentary from 2012 about two women in Berlin re-creating the dishes of their childhood.
"What can be a better way to start 2016 than with a hearty, delicious meal prepared by the Master Chef finalist of 2015, Emma Spitzer. The avid fan of the programme in me is absolutely ecstatic to be able to cook and host this KinoVino edition with my favourite Master Chef contestant. The film chosen for this occasion, Oma and Bella, is equally close to my heart and will most certainly appeal to any food-film lover out there. The screening of the film will be preceded with a tasting of kosher wines from Israel, curtesy of Kedem Wines. You will also have the chance to purchase these special wines to enjoy with your dinner. Emma will work her magic for us on the night, offering some of the Jewish food classics from latkes to brisket and beyond.
Let's chase away the January blues with this cosy celebration of Jewish wine, film and food!"
