Sabel, who hosted a supper club series in Clapton earlier this year, are back for just two nights in Thursday 17th & Friday 18th December serving up their take on Pie & Mash at F Cooke's iconic Pie &Mash shop at 150 Hoxton Street. The two nights are to raise money for the Row2Rio challenge, which sees a team rowing to Rio to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. Tickets are just £35, and it promoses to be a great couple of nights.
"The Row2Rio challenge is the first of its kind. The crew will make their way with just man (and woman) power carrying them 6,700 miles to the Brazilian Olympic host city. A route no other man or women has completed, the Ocean Rowing Society has given it the go ahead and with only 1 month before the team starts their epic adventure, they are looking for final donations and sponsorship, which ultimately goes towards their chosen charity Macmlllan.
Chef Toby Williams draws on his experiences from The Square, MomoFuku and collaborations with Simon Rogan and Ottolenghi – alongside 9/10 on Cheese and Biscuits to create tailored food and drink for events and pop ups around London.
Toby says, “I had to make pie & mash, hosting the event in a pie & mash institution. The menu overall has been written with the team’s epic journey in mind, with nods to the start and end of their journey, and hopefully it will fuel them some of the way!”
At £35 for a cocktail and three courses, the menu has been created to celebrate the British surroundings and starting point of London, with a nod to the cuisine of Brazil, to say bon voyage and send the team on their way
