For two weeks, from 26th October - 7th November 2015 - Milli's Kitchen will be taking over from Darjeeling Express at The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho, to offer a chance to try her delicious Spanish food, with likely dishes including Pil Pil Prawns, Carrillada (braised pork cheek) and fig, membrillo, fried almond & goat’s cheese salad. There will also be a supper club on the final night (Sat 7th) - full booking details below
"Milli Taylor, caterer and cookbook author aka Milli’s Kitchen, has announced a two week Spanish pop-up at Soho’s The Sun & 13 Cantons pub while The Darjeeling Express takes a fortnight break from their usual residency.
As a good friend of Darjeeling Express chef Asma, who has been cooking Indian food to much acclaim from the likes of the Evening Standard’s Fay Maschler, Milli hopes to hold the fort and do her proud, whilst she takes this quick break. Milli says: “Hosting Spanish supper clubs has been hugely enjoyable for me and I have been longing to get my paella pans out again. But this year I’ve been so busy, catering like a mad woman, that I haven’t been able to do a single supper club since the one I did for Jamie Oliver in February.”
Having finished catering throughout the summer, including a stint at the Wimbledon Tennis tournament, the event is also a family reunion: “The added bonus for me is that it coincides with the wedding season coming to an end in October (family business in Spain) so it’s the perfect time for me to steal my brother away to give me a hand front of house.”
With dishes promised such as Pil Pil Prawns, Carrillada (braised pork cheek) and fig, membrillo, fried almond & goat’s cheese salad, Milli adds: “Spain is where my heart is, where my family live, and where I always wish I were. Our town is in the Andalucian countryside where the food is simple and honest.”"

Dinner, Monday - Friday: 6pm - 10pm
