Travel Supermarket's International Streetfood Challenge in Shoreditch

On Thursday 13th August Travel Supermarket is holding an International Street Food Challenge, in honour of food around the world.  Both entry and food is free, and there will be traders including Vinn Goute (Seychelles), Kothu Kothu (Sri Lanka) and Orange Buffalo (US), and it runs from 12 noon to 9pm

"Love food? Love holidays? You're not alone! Half of Brits say, when choosing a holiday, the food of the country, or city, is important, and a quarter admitted to booking a holiday purely because they wanted to try the destination's food.
With gastro tourism on the rise, TravelSupermarket is now helping people choose their next holiday destination by introducing the International Street Food Challenge. The free event will launch on August 13, 2015 in the heart of London's bustling street food scene - and will be the world's first travel (by taste) agent.
Leading street food vendors from popular holiday destinations including France, Italy, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and America will go head-to-head in a battle to be crowned the winner at the inaugural awards.
The vendors were all chosen to compete after showing the best in class street food from their country, with a number of the vendors even travelling from far and wide to compete - including French chefs Copper and Wheat from Copenhagen who are flying in their own brand of potatoes and duck fat to ensure their dishes are 100% authentic.
Kothu Kothu - Sri Lanka
Copper & Wheat - France
La Tua pasta - Italy
Orange Buffalo - America
Vinn Groute - Seychelles"
