The London Craft Beer Festival returns to Oval Space in Bethnal Breen, E2, from Thurs 13th - Sun 16th August 2015 (note that this is Oval Space in E2, not The Oval in South London). You buy a ticket for a session (typically 2 per day) for £38.50 and this gives you access to the festival, lots of tasters from some of the 30 craft brewers there, and music from acts like Public Service Broadcasting. Plus there's street food and more. Beware - this will sell out...
"After the huge success of previous years, London Craft Beer Festival (LCBF) will be back from 13th – 16th August at iconic venue Oval Space in East London. An unrivalled celebration of great beers and breweries, for just £38.50 guests will have full access to tasters of a collection of the greatest craft beers from around the globe. A lively programme of DJ sets from some very special guests and an exciting street food offering make LCBF the most exciting beer festival this summer.
This year LCBF is welcoming a stellar line up of over 30 craft brewers from all over the world, including the USA, Europe and a range of the UK’s much loved and home-grown craft breweries.
With such global representation from the best of craft beer, the festival’s line up truly champions the spirit of flavour and discovery.
Bringing the capital’s craft brewing scene together under one roof in the main event space, LCBF will welcome a tour de force of London’s brewers, including The Kernel, Camden, Beavertown, Weird Beard, Howling Hops, Redemption Brewing and Pressure Drop.
Looking to the rest of the UK, breweries including Magic Rock, Thornbridge, Burning Sky, Siren, Buxton Brewery and Wild Beer will be present to name just a few. From further afield, international breweries will be making a rare and exciting UK appearance at LCBF: Edge Brewing from Barcelona, Omnipollo from Stockholm and Lervig from Norway, while Founders Brewing Co joins from across the pond.
In association with pop-up beer and whiskey bar The Stevedores, The Pickle Factory opposite Oval Space will be opening up its doors and playing host to some of the newest faces making waves on the craft beer scene.
Running alongside the beers will be an amazing range of delicious food from some of London’s best known street-food vendors. LCBF’s famous smoked Onglet steak and chips will be back to soak up any excess boozing, along with pulled, smoked and roasted Ginger Pig meats from celebrated pop-up Pull & Punch at The Pickle Factory. Those in need of a light bite can indulge in charcuterie boards from The Borough Ham & Cheese Co or pick up a US-inspired street-food fix from Big Apple Hot Dogs. For the vegetarian beer lovers, options will be on offer from the organic Plump Café.
A celebration of beer and good times, LCBF’s is set apart from the rest by an eclectic music programming in association with Oval Space Music. Ghostpoet will return for his second year, along with DJ sets from Will Kennard of Chase & Status, Spectrasoul, DJ Yoda, Public Service Broadcasting, Cuban Brothers and Artful Dodger."
