Update - now finished
Jim Thomlinson, aka The Prawnographer, is building on the success of his seafood shack at The Magic Roundabout at Old Street roundabout with a second pop-up, this time running Tuesday - Sunday at the underground rum bar Portside Parlour at 14 Rivington Street. Expect lots of seafood and crustaceans, including swordfish, tempura soft shell crab and more, with the menu changing daily depending on what's available at the markets. Go!
"The menu at PSP is tailored to be more of a British seafood tapas / small plates offering. Dishes such as Swordfish & Watermelon brochettes, Irish Rock Oysters with ginger jelly & beer froth, charred tender stem broccoli with satay dip or tempura soft shell crab with mango and chili salsa featuring on the menu. Served alongside daily specials these dishes offer a distinctly more refined style of dining, complementing PSP’s in house seasonal cocktail list and carefully hand selected spirits menu.
The food will be a perfect compliment to PortSide Parlour’s seasonally rotating cocktail menu, which stays true to it’s Rum heritage whilst adopting an approachable ethos that stems from simplicity and clarity in flavours."
