Burmese Nights Charity Dinner at Islington Metalworks

On Thursday 10th September there's a charity Burmese dinner cooked by Thuzur Kyi, to raise money for the Angus McDonald Trust, to support Burmese flood victims.  The night will also include live music and dancing - please support this great cause!

"Diners at the BURMESE NIGHTS launch on Thursday 10th September at Islington Metalworks will be greeted with a Pegu Club cocktail and Burmese canapes before sitting down at convivial banqueting tables to enjoy vast sharing plates of traditional Burmese curries, noodle salads, and exotic puddings. Talented Burmese chef Thuzar Kyi, who has honed her catering skills through her own immensely popular ‘Dine With Kyi’ catering business, jumped at the chance to help, saying: “Being of Burmese ethnicity I was only too happy to collaborate with the Angus McDonald Trust and cater their first BURMESE NIGHTS event. Helping the flood victims in Burma is close to my heart and what better way to promote this cause through food and dance; two activities I love doing! I am excited to devise a traditional Burmese menu using local British produce that will be delicious on the night, yet easy to recreate at home.  I cannot wait for the night and I am looking forward to dancing the night away with The Cash Cows after cooking up an unforgettable feast.”
