Carom Soho, temporarily closed by a fire in Wardour Street, is popping up for the summer. It's already been at the rooftop of Madison London at One New Change, and from 1st July it moves to the terrace of Butler's Wharf Chop House, overlooking Tower Bridge. Enjoy a selection of Carom's dishes, but with amazing views (& hopefully amazing weather!)
"Pan-Indian restaurant and Soho institution, Carom (www.caromsoho.com), moves to the Thames for their second summer pop-up after a fire on Wardour Street temporarily closed the venue in early May.
Following a successful six week rooftop residency at Madison Bar & Restaurant in the City, Carom is now re-locating Thameside and partnering with Butlers Wharf Chop House to host an Indian ‘Spice Garden’ complete with outdoor planting, lanterns & quayside deck with colourful colonial style inside and out.
Executive Chef Vishnu Natarajan’s pop-up at the bar and restaurant on Butlers Wharf will run until the end of September 2015 and will provide diners with a taste of India south of the river. Guests will be able to enjoy Carom’s signature dishes and Indian-influenced spiced cocktails from 12 noon to 10pm whilst taking in beautiful views of Tower Bridge and the Thames.
The menu features a selection of light bites and tasting plates, including Hand Dived King Scallop Roasted in Shell with Pepper & Chilli, Tandoori Salt and Chilli Spiced Corn on the Cob and Carom’s Signature Chicken Biryani. Alongside this is the new Classic or Vegetarian Tiffin Tin menu priced at £15, which includes four dishes. Summer desserts include irresistible Chilli Chocolate Ice Cream and Spiced Alfonso Mango Kulfi.
Cocktails, priced from £7.50, include the Bombay Spiced Manhattan Regal – featuring fresh ginger and cinnamon and the Masala Chai, created with Tanqueray gin, Assam Tea, cinnamon, cardamom and turmeric. A Flaming Mai Tai with spiced pineapple adds to the theatre and for beer drinkers, premium Indian brand Kingfisher will also be available on tap."
