Tuesday 19th May sees the launch of Eastern Biological's pop-up shop, featuring all sorts of curious objects, covering arts and design - imagine an independently curated natural history gift shop. It's open until the end of May 2015
"We're a brand new online store. Eastern Biological is a natural history and concept lifestyle store - having recently opened in January. We are independent purveyors of carefully curated items that range from design-led gifts, educational toys, niche books, stationery and curiosities originating from all corners of the globe.
Our store evokes a sense of being a ‘modern interpretation’ of a wunderkammer. This meaning, our store not simply characterising a traditional cabinet of curiosities filled with taxidermy, but a modern gifts shop, appealing to those who like museum spaces, as well as those appreciating the arts and design. Eastern Biological’s distinct vision is an amalgamation of the two. As far as we know, we are the only independent natural history gift shop based in London, and hoping to grow into a unique must-go-to-place in the capital."
