The kitchen residencies at The Duke's Head in Highgate continue into May 2015 with Colombian Street Kitchen stepping up to the plate (so to speak). These are always incredibly good quality, with a good variety of food at good prices. Your chance to try authentic Colombian food like Crispy empanadas, succulent tamales and delicious frijoles, all in the comfort of an excellent pub!
"Crispy empanadas, succulent tamales and delicious frijoles are just some of the mouth-watering classic dishes that will be served by Colombian Street Kitchen throughout May at the award-winning The Duke’s Head in Highgate Village.
Colombian Street Kitchen is a new start-up headed by chef Esteban Arboleda. Having already enjoyed success in London’s street markets and craft brewery taprooms, Esteban is now introducing his country’s cuisine to British pub-goers. As well as traditional dishes, this includes his own innovations tailored for British palates such as pie versions of Colombian recipes and vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Hoping to increase awareness of his country’s cuisine, Esteban says: “Colombia is becoming a popular destination for international travellers who are discovering its amazing food culture. I am keen to bring all the life and flavour of Colombia to the UK by producing premium high-quality street food.”
