To celebrate National Chip Week, Sutton & Sons of Stoke Newington is opening at Boxpark in Shoreditch for 6 months or so. Expect great fish with their special batter, and chunky cut chips, served on-Sat until 10pm and Sunday until 9pm.
"Sutton & Sons, the finest fish and chip offering from Stoke Newington, has cast its line east to Shoreditch and reeled in a new plaice at Box Park, opening Monday 16th February.
After waiting with baited breath for the fish fryer to be installed, the second site is ready to serve traditional top-notch deep-fried fish, coated with their own special batter and hand-cut chunky chips - opening just in time for National Chip Week (16-22nd February).
Shoreditch workers and residents alike will now have the oppor-tuna-ty for just a few squid to catch a great fish and chip lunch or dinner. Signature serves include the classic fish & chips, scampi, fish cakes and sausages.
The award-winning Sutton & Sons is renowned for the freshness of its fish that is responsibly sourced – it codn’t be batter. The family business also run a fishmongers opposite the original site, so unlike other restaurants, you can sea where your ingredients are from.
Danny Sutton, Founder said: “We opened the fishmongers in 1998 and our first restaurant in 2010 so when the opportunity to have an another site in Box Park arose we had to take it. Previously we have been based in the heart of Stoke Newington so we are excited to start spreading our food offering to a new audience in the capital.”
The original site in Stoke Newington also serves a grilled catch of the day, tuna burger, lobster sub, grilled oysters and moules mariniere. Look out for Mrs Sutton’s home-made pickles and desserts exclusively served in this branch."
