A pop-up wine bar in two shipping containers is coming to Gabriel's Wharf on the South Bank (near(ish) to The Oxo Tower) this October as The Vinorium opens its bar and store. It will run until Janaury 2015, and also offer special events like tastings and classes.
"The eye-catching Pop-Up has been created from two shipping containers with a bespoke Perspex interior, to give the illusion of floating wine. With over 2000 quality bottles available to purchase, each bottle has a QR code which allows consumers to information about the wine along with a tasting note. Guests can also enjoy a glass on the wine merchant’s roof terrace which includes twelve heated tables.
Wines can be sampled from the 3 Enomatic machines which will start from 70p and change daily, including the UK’s first Enomatic Flute machine offering a selection of Champagne and Sparkling wines. The most expensive bottle of wine offered at The Vinorium Pop-Up is a Melchior of 2009 Château Pontet Canet at £4,195.
The Pop-Up will also offer a collection of wine tasting Masterclasses throughout the three month period ranging from £50 - £150 per ticket, including an exclusive Suckfizzle Vertical and a Château Pontet Canet Masterclass. Each event will be hosted by Bordeaux expert and founder of The Vinorium, Stuart McCloskey."
