Pao Wow will be serving its 5 course Indian tasting menu over two nights - 31st Oct and 1st Nov - at 119 Cafe in Lower Clapton Road. Friday is sold out, but go on Saturday to experience some modern Indian tastes from these rising stars, who wowwed at Street Feast and KERB this summer! "Pao Wow is hackney based catering company specialising in modern Indian food using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create new and interesting flavour combinations. Food is served in a tapas/small plate style. None of your curry house staples here I'm afraid - instead I will introduce you to vibrant and healthy cooking from my home city of Bombay taking detours via Spain, Mexico and Turkey.
After a smashing summer of cooking at Street Feast Battersea, Kerb Southbank and a pop up in west London, I’m so happy to be back on home turf in Hackney and I’m celebrating by creating a special menu sourced from Hackney's amazing suppliers!
Wine: We are very excited to be collaborating with L'Atypique to bring you some unique and hard to find wines all matched beautifully with the food you will be eating on the evening. The wines are natural, bio-dynamic and from small producers in Europe.
The 5-course food with a paired wine tasting menu costs £65. You will get a different, amazing glass of wine with each course and L'Atypique will be on hand to tell you some more about what you are drinking, where it comes from and how it’s made. The 5-course food menu is £35
We will also be selling fairly priced wine from interesting suppliers if you'd like a bottle to enjoy on the night or to take home!
We'll also have something non-alcoholic available but unfortunately no beer or spirits."
