Dine with Kyi is back with a Colonial Burmese on Saturday 20th September. Burmese food is very rarely available in the UK, and this night gives you an opportunity to try a 5 course contemporary tasting menu, plus a cocktail on arrival.
"Dine with Kyi has teamed up with No. 178 New Cross and presents Colonial Burmese Banquet – a contemporary 5 course Anglo-Burmese Tasting Banquet, plus a colonial cocktail on arrival!!! No. 178 New Cross is a social enterprise cafe-bar specialising locally brewed beers and Dine with Kyi have carefully selected a couple of local beers to match the tasting menu. In addition the cocktail on arrival will the infamous Pegu Club, a gin-based cocktail that was the signature drink of Burma’s Pegu Club in the colonial days.

In keeping with Burmese culture, communal tables will encourage guests to share a meal and conversation, and to make new friends. There will also be a fully stocked bar serving soft drinks, mixers, beers and wine.
£3 per ticket will go to Mind to Mind Myanmar - A Burmese charity supporting the well-being of mentally ill patients in Myanmar."
