"This Spring heralds an exciting collaboration between London’s best grocer, Melrose & Morgan and London’s leading department store, Selfridge’s, with the arrival of the Melrose & Morgan Pop Up at Selfridge’s from April 17th.
Melrose & Morgan owners, Nick Selby and Ian James have created a concept that is guaranteed to enliven the Selfridge’s Food Hall offering a taste of artisan baked goods ‘on the go’ along with a few of Melrose & Morgan’s signature favourites.
On the savoury side, shoppers will be able to enjoy a range of gourmet sandwiches made using sourdough bread from London’s revered Balthazar Bakery combined with the best ingredients sourced direct from Melrose & Morgan’s trusted suppliers in keeping with their ethos of championing small scale, artisan producers. As a result flavours such as Pulled Pork with Greenslaw and Chilli Jam, Chicken Cesar and Egg Mayo with Oak Smoked Tomatoes
will be available served as a half or a whole. There will also be a wide selection of savoury tarts such as Leek, Lemon and Feta, Pea, Mint and Goats Cheese and Courgette, Tomato and Berkswell.
For those with a sweet tooth, Melrose & Morgan has perfected a succinct collection of the UK’s best loved loaf cakes. All handmade in their kitchens in Chalk Farm, on offer will be Battenberg, Cherry Madeira, Honey Cake, Iced Lemon Drizzle and A Chocolate Swiss Roll. For those wanting a more traditional afternoon tea then "Scone in a Box" includes two Mini Fruit Scones, Good Afternoon Jam and Clotted Cream. In light of an Easter opening the Melrose & Morgan critically acclaimed Simnel cake will also be available.
In terms of items available to buy ‘off the shelf’ these will include a few Melrose & Morgan signature offerings such as their own blended Good Morning and Good Afternoon Tea, Homemade Preserves and their in-house Chocolates and Chocolate Hampers."
