I love a good food and beer pairing night, and next Thursday 6th you should expect to get just that at the Pressure Drop supper club, a collaboration between Pressure Drop, We Eat, and Brew for Two in Morning Lane. It's just £30 for 5 courses, with beer to buy on the night, and brownies and donuts to finish with.
"The time has come for some serious catering. I’m getting out of the street for a night to pair up with my old partner Edd Chapman to make dinner at Brew For Two in Hackney.
I’ve put together a five course seasonal British menu that carries various subtle influences from street food whilst being the kind thing that you’ll need to sit down to eat. The menu pairs with beers from Pressure Drop brewery, whose full range will be available on the night. The beers are also sneaking around in the food, with their porter in the beef cheek and hefeweisse in the granita, amongst some other splashes here and there.
Keeping things local, there will also be sodas from the good people of Square Root, Doughnuts from You Doughnut! and some foraged goods from out on the marshes, courtesy of John the Poacher. Haggis will come from Chatsworth Rd Market favourites Deeney’s and there’ll be brownies from the wonderful Batch Bakery. Details of the sweets will be kept as a surprise for the evening but we may get excited and tweet about them so follow us here to keep up to date."
