Randy's Wing Bar at The Star by Hackney Downs - Now Finished

Update - this has now finished - see where to find them now on their Facebook page

The latest street food pub residency that I've found out about is Randy's Wing Bar, at The Star by Hackney Downs at 35 Queensdown Road E5.  Baked (rather than fried) wings, served Monday - Saturday, with sides that include cheesy courgettes and bacon.  Can't wait to visit, so expect some pics of this soon!

"Randy's wing bar is the first establishment in London dedicated to the serving of crispy skinned oven baked chicken wings. The fantastic sauces will include secret recipe classics such as Honey Mustard and Lemon, BBQ and of course the all time American favourite, Buffalo, which will be offered up as either mild, medium or hot, to suit all punters and palates. Owner-chef’s Richard and Andy (hence Randy’s) recommend the Jerk Buffalo for a dose of tangy spice.
The wings come direct from Richard’s family farm in Norfolk, and are delivered via London’s historic Smithfield market. The technique of serving oven baked crispy chicken wings has been perfected by Richard and Andy over several years."

When - Monday - Saturday until May
Mon - Fri 6pm - 10pm, Saturday 12.30pm - 10pm
