"After its hugely successful sell-out debut at the Dolls House in November, Kome returns to Hoxton as a pop up for a limited four-night stint. Kome takes inspiration from street vendors in Los Angeles, who serve up dishes with origins in countries as diverse as Korea, Mexico, Japan and Peru. The concept was lovingly developed by three mates and founding member,
Jack Davidson, heads back and forth to LA, his second home, on a regular basis. Passionate about the melting pot that is the LA street food scene, Davidson says: LA never fails to throw up new ideas that help Kome create unique menus for the people of London. Most people hit the beach or Hollywood when they visit LA whereas I spent most of my time trawling the lesser-known neighbourhoods to find those killer meals.
Kome’s newest dates will serve up some of the old classics - Kimchi Quesadillas and Bulgogi Fries - and the main will be taking inspiration from the simple grain of rice (Kome is rice in Japanese)."
