The very well regarded Chateau Marmot are holding their first pop-up of 2014 in London in the first weekend in March, with two dinners (Friday 28th of Feb and Saturday 1st March), and two brunches (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March) at a venue in Lower Marsh Market, by Waterloo. In addition to these the Chateau will be open all day on all 3 days for pop-ins - make sure you visit them!
"2013 was quite a year for us starting off in Melbourne Australia and finishing with our transatlantic collaboration with top LA chef Laurent Quenioux in London, described by Stylist as ‘stunning’ and named by Metro as one of the top winter 2013 popups.
From Feb 28th to March 2nd we're setting up shop in in Waterloo, SE1. Lower Marsh Market is one of the SE1’s hidden gems, there have been markets there dating back to the 19th century (see pic!). On March 1st they are launching a new specialist monthly produce market showcasing the best local producers ranging from bakers (Bad Boys Bakery) to farmers (Brambletye Farm), charcuterie (Cannon & Cannon) to fine cheeses and beyond. Using the best of what's local and seasonal is what we love so we're thrilled to have been asked.
For two dinner services and two brunches, we'll create a market kitchen in a reclaimed space on the market. We'll be serving specially created dinner and brunch tasting menus that use only ingredients from the market’s producers, working closely with them to deliver the very best early spring flavours and colours.
The tasting menu dinners and brunches are by reservation only but the Chateau will be open all day from 10AM until midnight for people visiting the market and wanting to drop in and sample our cheeses, charcuterie or drinks list. This is an intimate event and capacity is limited, book early to avoid disappointment."
